For more than 35 years, Gary has been involved in the energy industry. He has extensive experience in wholesale and retail metering and energy management having spent time as an energy, metering and settlement management consultant and as technical and marketing representative for an energy retailer consortium. Before joining Rodan, Gary spent the majority of his career with Measurement Canada as District and Regional Director for Ontario and was responsible for designing and implementing the wholesale metering services program and for rate unbundling for a large utility.
Rodan is also pleased to announce that Alex Lunycz has been promoted to Vice President, Operations & Systems Engineering.
Alex will be responsible for all aspects of Rodan’s technical and design specifications relating to metering and energy management systems. He also represents Rodan on various regulatory and industry groups, including the Revenue Metering Standing Committee of the Independent Electricity System Operator.

He served on various working groups, including Industry Canada’s Task Force on Data Communications Protocol for Electronic Metering Devices and played a key role in Ontario’s Market Design Committee on Wholesale Metering Operations. Alex has also taught and presented at numerous conferences and seminars on such topics as Emergency High Voltage Metering, Temporary Metering Systems, and New Developments in Metering Technologies.
Rodan bids farewell to Martin Malinowski
It is with mixed emotions that we are announcing the retirement of Martin Malinowski, effective April 1st. Martin joined the Business Development team almost seven years ago. He has been instrumental in helping Rodan establish itself as the premier provider of smart grid solutions in Ontario. Martin has been a key member of the Rodan family and will be dearly missed.
As a result of Martin’s departure, Gary Guenther will assume responsibility for business development opportunities with power producers while continuing to manage his key accounts.
